Bairrada is located within a Mediterranean climate zone, and the vineyards in this region are also under strong Atlantic influence due to their proximity to the coast. The clay-limestone soil in which the vines grow provides the necessary pre-harvest stress to enhance mineral notes. The region’s low altitude and the significant thermal amplitude during the ripening phase are also key factors that influence Bairrada wines.
A sparkling wine of great tradition, with consistent minerality and predominant aromas of brioche, toasted bread, and ripe citrus fruits. On the palate, the crispness is delivered through a fine bubble and a surprising acidity. Aged for a minimum of 12 months on lees under controlled temperature conditions, with manual riddling (remuage), this sparkling wine expresses itself with precision and elegance.
